E3, STUDENT-BUSINESS SPACE
L’Espai Estudiant-Empresa CETT-UB (E3) is made up by a team of five professionals whose main responsibilities are to orientate, guide and help students in their practical professional training and later incorporation into the labour market, providing them contact with the best establishments and companies in the sector of tourism, organizing activities to make students acquainted with these companies and carrying a personalized follow-up during the students’ studies.
PRACTICAL TRAINING IN COMPANIES
"We manage and coordinate the Practical Training subject in the areas of: signing accords, following-up the practical training and evaluating the assignment."
Objectives:
- To achieve the complete theoretical and practical training of the students.
- To adapt the professional profile of the students to the current needs of companies in the tourist industry.
- To contribute to providing quality education for the students.
LENGTH OF THE PRACTICAL TRAINING PROGRAMME
The minimum length of the practical training, in order to obtain credits, is 225 hours (3 months, approx.) and the maximum is 500 hours. Degree students can participate in this programme at any time of the year.
LEGAL FRAMEWORK
CETT prepares a collaboration Accord for each student with the company where they will be trained. Students are covered by the school insurance.

E3 services extend along the students’ professional career, which means that once they have finished their studies, E3 continues to offer former students specialized attention, guidance, assessment and help in their access to the labour market and professional improvement. These services keep a direct and fluent contact with the establishments and companies in the sector, advising them on the professionals who can best meet their needs. Both current and former CETT’s students can check and apply for all the existing job and internship offers via Campus Virtual.

YEARLY SCHOOL-UNIVERSITY-BUSINESS MEETING.
The “Trobada escola-universitat-empresa (school-university-business meeting) has been celebrated for over a decade. Promoted by the CETT’s E3, the main goal is to discover and present the future professionals’ expectations and worries, and to offer a platform to introduce the proposals of the tourism sector businesses, enabling them to put forward the values, qualifications and requirements to cover their vacancies.
In short, the aim is to create a common space that relates business, students, professionals and university to promote and consolidate relationships in order to obtain successful professional development.
Over 40 companies take part in the meeting, offering over 200 posts and internships. On the second day of the meeting, the “Mou-te” event takes place and its main objective is to promote students’ mobility offering and presenting internships, scholarships, grants, Erasmus programmes….
