HIGHER TECHNICIAN IN TRAVEL AGENCIES AND EVENT MANAGEMENT

PRESENTATION:

These studies aim to enable future professional staff to organize and operate packaged holidays, organised trips plus a wide range of events, sell tourist services to travel agencies and other units of distribution, proposing course of action for the development of marketing programmes and ensuring customers’ satisfaction.

The professionals will develop their career in the tourist sector, in the sub-sector of retail travel agencies, tour operators, both retail and wholesale agencies and event organizer companies.

They can work as office employees or heads, or as departmental managers in administration functional areas, reservations, sales of tourist services and / or products and events. Otherwise, they can be self-employed managing their own travel agency or event organizer company.

ACCESS:

Upper secondary school or Generalitat de Catalunya Official Access Exam for candidates over 19 years old.

CERTIFICATE:

Upper Vocational Training Studies in Travel Agencies and Event Management.

OBJECTIVES:

For the first course: Familiarize students with the tourism sector through theoretical and practical subjects and teach them the necessary concepts to acquire an overall view of tourism mediation, meeting market and events management

For the second course: Deal in depth and widen all the theoretical and practical aspects achieved, highlighting the importance of business organization, coordination and management.
