HIGHER TECHNICIAN IN TOURISM GUIDING, INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE

PRESENTATION:

These studies aim to enable future professional staff to plan, promote and inform on tourist destinations, guiding and helping travellers and guests in these destinations as well as in terminals, transports and events.

The professionals will be able to work in all type of events, travellers’ terminals, transport companies and tourist information centres. Besides, they are qualified to design and implement plans and activities for local tourism development, performing suitable duties in public administration or similar organizations (local boards, associations, etc).

ACCESS:

Upper secondary school or Generalitat de Catalunya Official Access Exam for candidates over 19 years old.

TITULACIÓ:

Upper Vocational Training Studies in Tourism Guiding, Information and Assistance

OBJECTIVES :

For the first course: Familiarize students with the tourism sector through theoretical and practical subjects and teach them the necessary concepts to acquire an overall view of group assistance, tourist information and design of tourism products.

For the second course: Deal in depth and widen all the theoretical and practical aspects achieved, highlighting the knowledge of tourist resources and destinations and the development of plans for tourist promotion.
