Blended mode and English language for teaching mode
You can take our Master's degree in the face-to-face or blended mode. With the blended mode, you will complete 70 % of the program online and the remaining 30 % face-to-face. Face-to-face sessions will take place at the end of the academic year with an educational stay in Barcelona. Thus, you will be able to interact personally with teachers, classmates, visit leading companies in the food and beverage industry, and of course, you will enjoy a unique city like Barcelona. The Master's Degree has its own learning system in which you will be the center of the learning process. You will learn thanks to your active participation in the classroom through learning by doing and interaction among students, or own methodologies such as CBL and PBL.

This specialty focuses on the most relevant aspects of strategic management in catering companies, from the most operational part, with subjects such as Operations Management in Catering, to the strategic part, with Innovation in Food Service Products, Restaurant Design, and Architecture or Experience Management.

The range of subjects allows you to understand and comprehend, among others, sustainability and corporate social responsibility, investment analysis, and customer-centricity as strategic elements that contribute to differentiation in a competitive and dynamic tourism market.


  • You will innovate with new business models such as dark kitchens or pop-up events. You will create unique proposals based on new gastronomic trends, such as slow food or e-delivery, among others, especially oriented towards sustainability.

The general objective of Restaurant Management's specialization is to provide you with specialized learning, with a global and multidisciplinary vision of restaurant companies and new gastronomic businesses.

The specific objectives of the specialization are:

In the first part, the Master's degree addresses the core subjects in the two specialties to lay the foundations of business management systems specific to the hotel and catering sector. In a second part, it allows specialization in business management through its two particular specialties:

This specialty focuses on understanding the world of catering from a business results-oriented perspective.

Learning takes place through a deep immersion in real cases of leading companies in the market, which provides a very accurate notion of the market and the current challenges.

Subjects such as Product and Service Innovation or Experience Management allow identifying customer needs in particular contexts. Other subjects such as Operations Management or Catering and Collectivities will teach you the latest technological tools to manage and make profitable gastronomic businesses or events.

The curriculum of the Official Master's Degree in Hotel and Food and Beverage Management has a duration of one academic year equivalent to one year.

The specialization in Food and Beverage Management is a program that responds to the restaurant sector's need to attract and incorporate executive profiles: managers with in-depth knowledge in business management and administration to overcome the new dynamics of the hospitality industry.

The Master's degree is aimed at all those who need to acquire or reinforce their knowledge of management, organization, and planning of restaurant businesses. Whether to learn the latest techniques and trends or to promote themselves to higher positions in the organization.
