Campus Virtual

CETT’s Virtual Campus is an essential tool for the community. It allows students to manage different information on-line, as well as many other characteristic Virtual Campus functions, such as the updates of the different CETT Group web pages or the possibility to consult and apply for the numerous job and internship offers at the Career Services’ job listings.

This virtual learning space is designed to cater for a series of needs and to support learning in-site, blended and on-line modalities.

At the top:

E-MAIL: It is a personal messaging tool available for all the members of the CETT community. It works in a similar way as other messaging tools: it is possible to attach documents, manage messages in folders, check if sent messages have been read, deleting un-read messages from the recipient’s inbox, receiving new messages’ notifications in an external e-mail address, among other things.

AGENDA: It allows students to keep track of events at the center and personal activities as well as those assigned by the teachers or academic managers.

On the left corner:

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM: It provides an independent space for each subject shared by the teacher and all participant students. It is organized in six different spaces:

  • Program: Access to the subject’s program where the syllabus, methodology and assessment criteria are detailed.
  • Contents: Space designed for the publication of support material for students learning. The material can be presented in different media: documents of different formats (text, presentations…), videos, audios or external web links. The activities are also presented in this section.
  • Communication: Access to communications tools such as the classroom chat and forums.
  • Evaluation: Check the continued evaluation grades.
  • Collaborative Space: This spaced is thought for students to work collaboratively. The teacher manages the different groups in order to provide students with a private environment to share, create and manage material and facilitate communication with the group members. Students are able to manage their own space.
  • Participants: List of teachers and students who participate in the subject. All participants’ campus e-mail addresses are available as well as the possibility to chat with on-line participants.

STUDENT AREA: Access to Academic Management information: calendar, Schedule, syllabus … The structure may vary depending on the educational program.

CONTACTS: Create contact groups in order to send e-mails to external e-mail addresses from the messaging tool.

Other important aspects are the possibility to show materials in different languages, the customization of the home page depending on the course’s syllabus, access to the resource center’s bibliographic collection, access to internship and job listings and some virtual secretary functions.
