External Practices Recognition

Recognition of credits of the subjects of Curricular practices

Work and professional experience, as long as it is related to the competencies of the degree being studied by the student, can give the option of recognizing the credits. Extracurricular internships are not likely to be used for credit recognition.

As a general rule, the maximum number of credits that can be recognized is 15% of the total credits of the degree.

Only those students who:

-Enroll in the Practicum subject you want to validate
-Have completed at least one academic year prior to the current academic year
-They do so under an accepted legal coverage (employment contract or service provision contract).
-The functional content of the internship or collaboration in the company is validated by the academic tutor of the subject, ie the Career Services department.
-Comply with the minimum dedication to the internship required for the academic accreditation of the enrolled Practicum:
Internship hours are not intended to validate other subjects with regulated academic content.

The documentation that must be submitted is:

-Recognition application form.
-Working life report accrediting 300 hours worked in the sector.
-Certificate from the company accrediting the functions performed

The presentation of all the documentation required to recognize the credits must be submitted within the established deadlines for each academic year.

The rubric (final grade) of the subjects of curricular practices if you opt for the recognition of credits will be a 5.

Academic recognition of Extracurricular internships

Extra-curricular internships are recognized academically through the European Degree Supplement, as provided for in current regulations.

At the end of the internship, at the request of the student, the Center must issue a certificate that must contain the following:

a) The name of the student who did the internship.

b) The name of the company or institution where the student has done the internship and the period of their stay.

c) Copy of the student’s training project, in which the activities and contents developed during the internship period are described.

The model certificate accrediting the internship must facilitate communication with companies or institutions, and offer a homogeneous way of transmitting the contents and results of the internship. In the same way, it should also promote information for the international mobility of students.
