In the Specialization in Corporate Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Tourism of the Official Master's Degree in Development and Launch of Tourism Projects, you will acquire the knowledge and tools to become an entrepreneur in the tourism sector. You will be able to become an agent of change and develop innovative initiatives that help transform the business reality of tourism businesses.

Spain is one of the countries with the highest level of entrepreneurship in Europe and with the most significant potential for its development. There is a need for new professionals who can create new businesses and innovate by incorporating business ethics and respect for the environment.

At CETT-UB, we want to provide a solution to the absence of specific tourism training in the Spanish university system to solve the main challenges facing the sector and its main subsectors: the hotel sector and the gastronomic sector. Challenges and demands that result from digitalization and globalization, mainly and from the need to innovate by incorporating sustainable criteria and respect for the environment.

Methodolgy and Assesment

The Master's Degree has its own learning system in which you will be the center of the learning process. You will learn thanks to your active participation in the classroom through learning by doing and interaction among students, or own methodologies such as CBL and PBL.

DO AN INTERNSHIP IN THE ENTREPRENEURIAL ECOSYSTEM

  • It is the only official Master's Degree in entrepreneurship or intrapreneurship in tourism companies and organizations in Spain. You will get a unique official degree, issued by the University of Barcelona and CETT, with international academic and professional recognition.
  • You will be able to carry out curricular and extracurricular internships in a tourism company or organization thanks to the more than 900 collaboration agreements with CETT-UB companies. You will choose the type of company and department, either a consolidated company or a startup, depending on your interests and needs (knowledge of new business models, exploring areas for improvement, applying innovative knowledge and techniques, etc.).
  • You will develop your ability to adapt to new environments and different problems, expand your network of professional contacts, grow as a professional, and increase your chances of career advancement.

The main objective of the specialization in Corporate Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Tourism is to provide you with the knowledge and tools necessary to develop and launch innovative tourism projects.

The main objectives of the Master's degree are:

  1. To know the tools and develop the necessary knowledge for creating and adapting products and services based on the opportunities that the evolution of the tourism market offers, mainly thanks to technological change, both from an intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial perspective with new proposals or revision of existing ones.
  2. Acquire the competencies for the definition of policies and strategic objectives of tourism companies linked to the development and launching of entrepreneurial tourism projects to a global market.
  3. Develop the necessary skills for project management and learn to work using the most commonly used project management methodologies (Waterfall, Lean, Agile, Kanban, Scrum, etc.) and master the instruments and tools for their development and implementation.
  4. Acquire the necessary skills for the definition of customer relationship systems that optimize the value provided by the company through the result of innovative experiences.
