CETT Fundació, a legacy that lives on: a tribute to its three presidents
Mr. Gaspar Espuña
President from 2000 to 2010
Mr. Gaspar Espuña was a humanist deeply committed to Catalan identity and to serving society. He founded CETT in 1969 and transformed it into a benchmark in tourism and hospitality education, leading the institution for more than 40 years with a vision rooted in excellence, talent, and the values that continue to guide CETT today.
Mr. Antoni Sansalvadó
President from 2010 to 2014
Mr. Antoni Sansalvadó was a tenacious man and a strong advocate for helping others. An engineer by training, he presided over institutions such as the "Banc d'Aliments de Barcelona", becoming a key figure in social solidarity in Catalonia and driving initiatives such as the “Gran Recapte d’Aliments”.
Sr. Narcís Coll
President from 2014 to the present
Mr. Narcís Coll Ferrer embodies the core values of the institution. He has been connected to CETT since its beginnings through family ties, his professional work at the center, his role as a board member of the group’s different companies, and his position as a trustee of the CETT Fundació.
He holds a degree in Law from the University of Navarra, a Diploma in Tourism from CETT, and is the director of Hotel Medes II, a family-run business with more than 50 years of history.
A special acknowledgement to the key members of the Board of Trustees
The history and development of the CETT Fundació cannot be understood without the dedication of the people who have been part of its Board of Trustees, accompanying and preserving the legacy of Mr. Gaspar Espuña.
When speaking about the CETT Fundació, it is also essential to acknowledge:
- Ms. Monique Rous de Madinhac, secretary to Mr. Espuña and to the Board of Trustees until 2016. Without her care and perseverance, nothing would have run as smoothly.
- Mr. Fernando Secarrant, who took over the role of secretary.
- Ms. Elisabet Ferrer, current secretary.
- Dr. Maria Abellanet i Meya, treasurer throughout all these years.
We would also like to express our profound appreciation for the work of all the trustees who have been part of the CETT Fundació over time. Thanks to their commitment and vision, the purpose of Mr. Gaspar Espuña remains alive and continues to shape the future, ensuring that the principles and values that inspired the founding of CETT remain our guiding compass.
