Promoting knowledge

CETT Fundació provides support and promotes education and research in tourism, hospitality, and gastronomy, as well as the application of new technologies within the sector:

  • It supports tourism research studies and doctoral theses, contributing to the generation of knowledge and the development of Tourism Science.
  • It facilitates faculty participation in academic conferences and seminars.
  • It promotes CETT’s Research Groups, along with CETT-UB’s doctoral faculty members.
  • It collaborates in the publication of tourism studies, books, journals, and other relevant documents.

CETT Fundació promotes innovative initiatives and projects that contribute to improving tourism management and encourage young people’s entrepreneurial activity, motivating them to develop their ideas and supporting them in turning their projects into reality.

  • Projects for integrating environmental awareness into tourism education.
  • Creation of the Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences, promoted by CETT, the Torribera Food Campus (UB), UPC, and the Alícia Foundation.
  • Creation of the “Aula de los Sentidos,” now the “Espai dels Sentits”, a classroom renewed in 2013 and dedicated to the development, research, and experimentation of the senses applied to the gastronomic field, with the aim of interrelating different disciplines such as science, art, and the food industry.
  • Annual Competition for Entrepreneurial Projects in the Tourism Sector.
