Promising youth in hospitality: young people from FC Barcelona Foundation’s Employability Campus train at CETT

The CETT Campus hosts one of the three training stays of the FC Barcelona Foundation’s Employability Campus to train young people in hospitality and restaurant services.
The FC Barcelona Foundation, with support from the “la Caixa” Foundation, has launched the third edition of the Employability Campus, an initiative part of the Joves Futur+ project aimed at improving the employability of formerly fostered youth aged 18 to 25 from across Catalonia.
The Employability Campus offers three intensive training stays for around fifty participants referred by social entities. These campus experiences provide a unique opportunity to receive practical training in real work environments, especially in the hospitality and restaurant sectors (kitchen, front of house, maintenance, cleaning, and gardening), with active involvement from partner company staff.
The CETT Campus welcomed 8 participants focused on front-of-house service training from June 17 to 20. Meanwhile, the Jordi Comas Foundation hosted the Campus at the Hotel Aromar in Platja d’Aro, and the Climent Guitart Foundation at the Hotel Central Park Aqua Resort in Lloret de Mar.
In addition to technical training, residential campus participants enjoyed workshops in customer service in English, basic skills capsules, sports sessions using the Barça Foundation’s SportNet socio-educational methodology, mock interviews with HR professionals, company visits, motivational talks, and cultural and leisure activities.
With this initiative, CETT reinforces its commitment to the Joves Futur+ project, supporting the inclusion and social integration of vulnerable young people by offering them a real path toward personal and professional autonomy.
