Reasons to take this master

  • It is the only accredited Masters in Spain which specializes in tourism management of cultural heritage, that is developing strategies to protect, manage and organize the landscape, public gardens, monuments and national parks of a given territory.

  • It includes an extensive program of activities which will open the doors to the latest trends in tourism: you will visit the Egyptian Museum of Barcelona to learn about their unique commercialization model; you will also find out how to create a cultural touristic product using ICT; you will also take part in masterclasses about creative tourism and cultural inclusion given by top experts in the area.

  • You will be able to do your internship at more than 500 companies from the tourism sector and at the main public tourism institutions including, museum and heritage centers such as Casa Vicens, Schola Didactica Activa, the Catalan Board for Tourism, the Catalan Board for Heritage, The Museum on National Art of Catalonia, the Industrial Heritage Network, Espais Escrits, and many others.

  • The teaching staff involved in the master’s are recognized professionals with proven experience at the leading companies of the sector: Caroline Couret, CEO from Creative Tourism Network; Claudia Torner, coordinator of the program Acerca Cultura, or Albert Sierra, in charge of new technologies at the Catalan Board for Cultural Heritage, and many others.

  • Your Master’s Capstone Project will give you the chance to apply for a Scholarship awarded by the National Board of Tourism (Dirección General de Turismo), a merit by Redintur, or being published on CETT-UB’s academic journals. In 2019 one of our students was awarded by Redintur with the extraordinary prize for best Master’s Capstone Project.
