The study plan for the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism is composed of four courses of 60 ECTS each. The first two are common to all students. In the 3rd and 4th years, you will study the subjects corresponding to the specializations.

The study program of this degree is structured in four academic years, with 60 ECTS credits each. The first two academic years cover core areas for all students. The last two are dedicated to your chosen specialization.

The CETT has its own experiential learning methodology in 4 stages carried out in its facilities and experimental classrooms. It is a system that fosters leadership competencies characterized by personalized treatment and attention.
Introduction (individual workspace): Previous preparation for each training session by reading bibliography on the concepts, viewing multimedia material, etc.
Assimilation (collaborative workspaces): Classroom performance through active learning, in-depth study of the concepts with peer discussions and the teacher's guidance, analysis of models, case studies, company visits, etc.

ASSESSMENT
You can choose between two types of assessment:

Continuous assessment: consists of the assessment of the teaching-learning process through constant monitoring of the work done by the student and the learning he/she incorporates throughout the year.

Single assessment: aimed at all those students who, for justified reasons, cannot regularly attend face-to-face classes. We assess the students' learning process, taking into account the assignments designed for this purpose, which can be carried out during the semester or at the end of it, as specified in each case.

During the degree, you will have to do internships in tourism companies or organizations. Suppose you want to gain more practical experience or explore different departments or companies. In that case, you can do voluntary extracurricular internships whenever you want.
- CURRICULAR INTERNSHIPS OR PRACTICUM: in national and international companies. They are divided into two curricular internship periods in CETT application companies or collaborating companies, with a minimum of 225 hours of training each.
- EXTRACURRICULAR INTERNSHIPS: in national and international companies. You will carry out voluntary internships from the first year to develop a highly qualified professional profile, with a maximum duration of 900 hours per course.
The objectives of the internship are:
- To perform the functions of a job position in a top-level, local or international company.
- Acquire new skills and aptitudes that are only gained in real work environments.
- To apply the knowledge learned during the Degree.

DEGREE CAPSTONE PROJECT
Your Degree Capstone Project (DCP) (12 ECTS) is the completion of the learning process of the degree, where the acquired competencies are reflected, as well as their application and development. It can be a piece of research or an applied project. The SCP is adapted to your interests and professional motivations, expanding on the specialization and the skills enhancement path you chose:
There are four types of SCP:

Free subject: you will carry out your research work under the guidance of a CETT professor.

Entrepreneurship project: you will develop a business or entrepreneurship idea and explore its real possibilities of viability.

Participation in a Research Group: you will be able to carry out your work by participating in one of the following groups:
- Tourism Accommodation and Restoration Research Group (GRATiR).
- Tourism, Culture, and Territory Research Group (TCT).

You will also participate in inter-university groups and carry out research work together with students from different countries.

CETT-UB develops research and innovation projects with the aim of providing expert knowledge and innovations that enable the Tourism sector to maintain and improve its competitiveness through applied research and knowledge transfer. It also promotes collaborative research and private sector Tourism administrations, as well as the establishment of joint research agreements with other international universities. This fact makes the new cooperative educational methodology of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) by strengthening the teamwork, open participation of colleagues from other centers and institutes, and adapting knowledge Tourism and hospitality to new ways of learning and teaching necessary for studies and research in Tourism.
CETT-UB's priority lines of work are carried out in the following research groups: Tourism, Culture and Territory; Hospitality; Gastronomy.
STUDENT ORIENTATION
The tutorial action plan (PAT) is a service for students whose main purpose is to offer personalized support to students in the fields of training, information and guidance beyond the content of academic subjects.
THE STUDENT ACCOMPANYING FIGURE The main objective is the advice of the student from the moment of entering the university world, monitoring their development, planning their studies until their professional orientation. This action is directed by teachers / tutors who contribute to a global education that is essential to develop and review their academic, professional and personal aspirations.

The performance of the teacher / tutor becomes convenient in order to take advantage of the training period of the students to provide personalized attention tailored to their unique circumstances, needs and characteristics that allow them to lay the foundations of their learning.
THE MODEL
The tutoring model is developed in a framework of integral education that promotes the global development of the student in all its dimensions: intellectual, emotional, personal and social.

CETT has different restaurant services, such as the Fòrum or the Aula Restaurant CETT. The Fòrum is a space that favors creativity and cultural exchange among students. It has a varied, healthy, seasonal gastronomic offer that adapts to the day's different times. It is also possible to eat at the Aula Restaurant CETT, an à la carte restaurant with the same characteristics as an authentic gastronomic restaurant.

LEARNING SPACES
CETT has a variety of classrooms and facilities for you to develop your professional skills:
- 30 lecture rooms.
- Four computer classrooms with a total capacity of 86 students.
- 12 specialized technical classrooms
LECTURE ROOMS
These are 30 lecture classrooms with projection systems and the necessary equipment for videoconferencing in streaming with the possibility and synchronous participation.
SPECIALIZED TECHNICAL CLASSROOMS
These facilities are equipped to provide high-level professional training. All these spaces are renovated and updated with the latest technologies to facilitate the pedagogical function.

CETT has different spaces and its own application companies. Our students face real day-to-day challenges with real clients, always supervised by our teaching and professional team.
- Classroom restaurant and gastronomic space.
- Forum: Bar-cafeteria space.
- Hotel Alimara: our four-star hotel where you can also find Summum Restaurant, where the practical training is part of hotel services such as banquets and lunch service.
- Ágora BCN Hall of Residence of the CETT Foundation: They actively participate in the kitchen service for collectivities.
CETT INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT
Because we understand the challenge of living in an environment that is not your own, the CETT-UB Campus offers you the International Relations Office (IRO), as an area designed to provide guidance, advice, and attention to international students during the Master's programs.
Our International Relations team will give you the necessary information related to logistical aspects of life in Barcelona, such as residency registration, the processing of your foreign resident's identity number (NIE), or how to find accommodation in the city.
PROCEDURES RELATED TO YOUR ACADEMIC STAY
The IRO team will provide you with updated information on the necessary procedures to carry out once you are in the city. They will provide you with guidance on essential documents such as your foreign resident's identity number (NIE), the official census at the City Council, or your university student card.
LANGUAGES
If your native language is not Spanish, the IRO team will advise how and where to learn it. They will also tell you where to learn Catalan, facilitating your integration into the city's daily life. Besides, you will strengthen your Spanish through the certified courses offered by our Language Department at CETT-UB. On the other hand, if you want to practice any different language informally, you can participate for free in our language exchange program with CETT students.
ACCOMODATION
CETT-UB is the only higher education center with a residence hall - Agora BCN, with affordable prices for the CETT student community. We also have our four-star hotel, Hotel Alimara, where you and your family and friends can enjoy advantages and discounts.

CETT-Alumni was born as the CETT-UB Alumni Association on March 1, 1994, as an initiative to offer a service to alumni, a space for personal and professional guidance, and a meeting point for experts in the tourism, gastronomy, and hospitality sector, with the CETT-UB as their common bond.
As an association of CETT-UB alumni, its primary mission is to promote the relationship between them, thus creating a network of professionals. Their shared link is to be CETT alumni.
The main objectives of CETT-Alumni are:
- To promote the lifelong professional development of its associates at all levels and to favor access to the world of work, professional promotion, and lifelong learning. To foster creating a hub for exchanging knowledge and experiences among alumni, offering them the association as a meeting point in the professional world.
- To facilitate knowledge and networking through conferences, lectures, colloquium dinners, and expert sessions. CETT Alumni wants to be a center of opinion and influence on the tourism environment.
- To establish agreements with other organizations, favoring synergies that generate value for alumni.

CETT Foundation, with the firm conviction that training and transmission of knowledge are fundamental, extends the study aid program already offered annually to students and includes new scholarships for the 2021/2022 academic year, also taking into account the difficulties generated by COVID-19.
Besides, CETT will also accept payments in 6, 10, or 12 months through bank financing plus a 5 % discount of total enrollment fees should students wish to choose this option. Find out about the special conditions.
