The CETT-UB's Master's Degree in LGBT Tourism has won the Academy and Research category of the first edition of the ISTO Awards 2022. The ISTO Awards are international distinctions and reward excellence in projects, activities, programmes, initiatives, and studies recently launched by ISTO members.

The coordinator of the master's degree, Núria Abellan, received the award on Wednesday in the Azores (Portugal). The ISTO Awards also recognised projects from Public Authority Initiatives and Social, Fair, and Responsible Initiatives. The awards ceremony took place at the ISTO World Congress.

The only Master's Degree in LGTB Tourism

The Master's Degree in LGTB Tourism provides students with the personal and professional skills to direct and manage the tourism offer and service to the LGTB community. It is the only master's degree in LGTB Tourism recognised by the University of Barcelona and CETT with the collaboration of the Barcelona City Council.

What is ISTO

ISTO was created in 1963 under the name of the International Bureau of Social Tourism (BITS) as an international non-profit association. Bringing together social, sustainable, and social tourism actors from all over the world, ISTO stands for accessible and respectful tourism.
