With the Specialization in Tourism Management of Cultural and Natural Heritage blended mode, you will learn the most relevant aspects of management and innovation linked to a territory's cultural and natural heritage to create and promote memorable tourism projects.

At CETT-UB, we want to provide a solution to the difficulties that the cultural tourism sector is currently facing. These difficulties are produced by changes in consumer habits, digitalization, sustainability, and strong competition between different tourist destinations.

To respond to this new reality, organizations and tourist destinations must incorporate specialists in innovation and creation of tourism products to value their natural and cultural heritage resources.

Blended version

The blended version will allow you to combine your work and your personal life with a first class academic study, whether you live in the same city of Barcelona or elsewhere. It is ideal for people from abroad who, due to their circumstances, cannot move to CETT for the entire course.

The blended mode is a modular program that combines online classes with three weeks of face-to-face practical leçons at CETT at the end of the course. During this period you will visit companies in the sector and attend classes by professional experts, all in a unique tourism learning laboratory such as the city of Barcelona.

You will be able to learn in situ about business models of leading international tourism companies, as well as management models of the tourism administration. All this with special emphasis on governance, sustainability, innovation and digitization of the sector.

Practical classes and classroom experience to get the most out of your learning process through visits to companies in the sector in the city of Barcelona, so you can live the CETT experience.

You will complete 70% of the online training and 30% of the on-site training so that you can manage your study time.

You will learn actively with different innovative methodologies that promote your learning in management skills and your professional growth.

Methodolgy and Assesment

The Master's Degree has its own learning system in which you will be the center of the learning process. You will learn thanks to your active participation in the classroom through learning by doing and interaction among students, or own methodologies such as CBL and PBL.

¿Cómo realizar las prácticas profesionales internacionales?

Why?

CETT Master students in any of its modalities (blended or face-to-face) who wish to do so may develop professional internships in companies in Spain for up to two years after completing the official Master studies, according to the regulation 04/09/2018 of the Royal Decree Law 11/2018.

What do you have to do?

You will have to comply with the legal documentation required for the development of the internship. One of the fundamental requirements is the processing of the foreigner identification number (NIE), which you will have to perform in a personalized way before the competent migration authorities in Barcelona, but do not worry, because CETT will guide you in the management and with the necessary documentation. The Specialization in Tourism Management of Cultural and Natural Heritage's general objective is to train you professionally as a specialist with knowledge in innovation to make strategic decisions in organizations, institutions, companies, and tourist destinations linked to cultural and natural heritage.

We want to provide the necessary knowledge to coordinate the different public and private tourism agents involved in the marketing and communication of destinations and cultural tourism destinations and create differential value tourist destinations.

The Master's Degree consists of the first block of core subjects in the three specialties, which allows you to lay the foundations of the concept of innovation applied to the tourism sector. In a second block, you will take the subjects specific to the specialization.
