The AGENTS project promotes slow and sustainable tourism, shifting focus from destinations to the travel experience itself. It addresses the negative impacts of mass tourism—overcrowding, infrastructure strain, and cultural erosion—by raising awareness of slow tourism benefits, fostering responsible travel behavior, and innovating new tourism products.

The project engages local communities and businesses across six partner cities, collaborates with students to co-create services, and develops educational resources including a MOOC (5 ECTS), a 20 ECTS study module, and a 10 ECTS Learning Tour.

AGENTS also builds an online community for sharing and learning, produces studies on tourism attitudes and values, and creates a guidebook and video series to support broader implementation.

The project aims to generate 600 ECTS from Learning Tours and 500 ECTS from the pilot MOOC.
