At CETT-UB we understand the challenges facing the sector nowadays. From globalization, to new environmental legislation and the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), to technological changes, to new forms of management. All these new trends are profoundly transforming tourism companies and organizations.

As a result, new business opportunities are emerging. At the same time, established companies must incorporate executive profiles to strengthen their adaptation processes to these new trends.

Blended version

The blended version will allow you to combine your work and your personal life with a first class academic study, whether you live in the same city of Barcelona or elsewhere. It is ideal for people from abroad who, due to their circumstances, cannot move to CETT for the entire course.

The blended mode is a modular program that combines online classes with three weeks of face-to-face practical leçons at CETT at the end of the course. During this period you will visit companies in the sector and attend classes by professional experts, all in a unique tourism learning laboratory such as the city of Barcelona.

You will be able to learn in situ about** business models of leading international tourism companies**, as well as management models of the tourism administration. All this with special emphasis on governance, sustainability, innovation and digitization of the sector.

Practical classes and classroom experience to get the most out of your learning process through visits to companies in the sector in the city of Barcelona, so you can live the CETT experience.

You will complete 70% of the online training and 30% of the on-site training so that you can manage your study time.

You will learn actively with different innovative methodologies that promote your learning in management skills and your professional growth.

It offers you the opportunity to get in touch with international professionals and experts through expert talks and during face-to-face visits.

This specialty focuses on the most relevant aspects of strategic management in catering companies, from the most operational part, with subjects such as Operations Management in Catering, to the strategic part, with Innovation in Food Service Products, Restaurant Design, and Architecture or Experience Management.

The range of subjects allows you to understand and comprehend, among others, sustainability and corporate social responsibility, investment analysis, and customer-centricity as strategic elements that contribute to differentiation in a competitive and dynamic tourism market.

¿Cómo realizar las prácticas profesionales internacionales?

Why?

CETT Master students in any of its modalities (blended or face-to-face) who wish to do so may develop professional internships in companies in Spain for up to two years after completing the official Master studies, according to the regulation 04/09/2018 of the Royal Decree Law 11/2018.

What do you have to do?

You will have to comply with the legal documentation required for the development of the internship. One of the fundamental requirements is the processing of the foreigner identification number (NIE), which you will have to perform in a personalized way before the competent migration authorities in Barcelona, but do not worry, because CETT will guide you in the management and with the necessary documentation.   • Director/Manager of companies or hotel groups: The figure of the hotel manager is comparable to the position of CEO or of an SME. In addition to managing the budget and coordinating the team, this executive is responsible for compliance with internal procedures, standards of quality and for the efficiency of operations.
