Scholarships for master's and postgraduate students

At CETT, we support academic excellence and talent development through scholarships for new students and for continuing postgraduate studies.

The New Access Talent Scholarships reward outstanding academic performance, while the CETT Student Scholarships provide support for continuing education, mobility, internships, and research.

Our goal is to ensure equal opportunities and foster professional growth in tourism, hospitality, and gastronomy.

Scholarships for new students

  • Scholarship for the University Superior Diploma in Sommelier Studies by the Familia Torres Foundation

    Study's scholarship 2025/26

    1.1. Objective:

    The aim of this scholarship is to identify and attract young, talented individuals motivated to develop their professional careers in the field of Sommelier Studies, as part of the agreement between CETT-UB and the Torres Foundation.

    1.2. Eligible Applicants:

    Students of Advanced Vocational Training in the field of Hospitality, graduates in Tourism, and graduates in Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences who wish to continue their education by specializing in Sommelier Studies.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Completion of the required prior studies.
    • Admission to the University Advanced Diploma in Sommelier Studies for the 2025/2026 academic year.
    • Not having received other grants from CETT or discounts for the 2025/2026 academic year.

    1.4. Financial Support:

    One scholarship is offered covering both academic years of the University Advanced Diploma in Sommelier Studies: 2025/26 (1st year) and 2026/27 (2nd year), with a total award amount of €8,435.

    A 2% income tax (IRPF) withholding will be applied to the scholarship amount, in accordance with Law 40/1998 on Personal Income Tax*.

    According to IRPF regulations, scholarships are classified as employment income. Therefore, scholarships not exempt under Article 7 j) of the Personal Income Tax Law (IRPF) will be considered employment income in accordance with Article 17.2 h) of the same law and will be subject to tax withholding. The retention will be calculated following the general procedure established in Articles 80 and subsequent of the IRPF.

    1.5. Evaluation Criteria:

    The following criteria will be considered for awarding the scholarship:

    • Best academic transcript
    • Economic and family situation (the income thresholds established by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training will be considered)
    • Curriculum vitae
    • Motivation stated in the OBSERVATIONS section of the application

    Among the three students with the highest academic scores, the scholarship will be awarded to the one with the fewest economic resources.

    1.6. Required Documentation:

    Applicants must submit their scholarship application online (see section 1.7), including the following scanned documents:

    • Photograph is not required
    • Identification document (DNI, NIE, or passport)
    • Curriculum vitae
    • Academic transcript of completed studies
    • Full income and wealth tax return for the latest fiscal year for all members of the family unit who are required to file. If not required to file, an official certificate must be provided.
    • For self-employed applicants, documentation of business income (latest IRPF for business income, the last 4 VAT quarterly returns, etc.)
    • Depending on the family situation, supporting documents such as alimony agreements, widowhood/orphan pensions, rental contracts, disability certificates, etc.

    1.7. Application Period:

    From May 19 to July 1, 2025.

    Applications must be submitted through the following online form*.

    (Form will be active from the first day of the application period.)

    All required documentation must be attached to the application.

    Any application not accompanied by the required supporting documents will be automatically rejected.

    Once submitted, the Scholarship Committee may request additional documentation or invite the applicant to an online interview if further information is needed.

    1.8. Decision:

    The Scholarship Committee—composed of members from the Torres Foundation and CETT (Management of the Technical School and the Administration and Finance Department)—will notify applicants of the final decision via the Virtual Campus and individually by email, no later than July 25, 2025.

    The scholarship will be applied once the student enrolls in the University Advanced Diploma in Sommelier Studies for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Scholarships for new students of masters

  • Talent New acces scholarships for masters

    Talent Scholarship for postgraduate studies 2025/26 (Graduates from the European Union or Latin America)

    1.1. Purpose:

    Encourage and reward academic excellence.

    1.2. Recipients:

    University graduates, with a nationality from one of the countries of the European Union or Latin America, entering a CETT Master's programme.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Be a national of one of the countries of the European Union or Latin America.
    • Have an average grade of 7.5 or higher on their Degree or equivalent, giving access to the Master's Degree.
    • Be admitted to one of the Master's degrees offered by the EUHT CETT-UB for the 2025/2026 academic year.
    • Not be or have been a CETT student until the moment of applying for the scholarship.
    • Not have been beneficiary of any other CETT scholarship or discount for the 2025/2026 academic year. Otherwise, the amount of the scholarship or the discount that is most beneficial for the student will be applied, except for the discount for full payment or in 2 installments, which is compatible with the Talent Scholarship.

    1.4. Financial help:

    The amount of the scholarships will depend on the master's degree to be studied:

    The amount of the scholarship will be applied to the course fees.

    1.5. Candidate evaluation criteria:

    The best academic record among candidates, their resumé, and personal statement will be the critical criteria to be eligible for a scholarship.

    1.6. Required documents:

    • Application form for TALENT SCHOLARSHIP FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDIES, duly completed.
    • Official certification of the candidate's Degree (or equivalent studies which give access to postgraduate studies) academic record. In case of having studied abroad, it will be essential to attach the equivalent of the average mark of university studies carried out in foreign centers as indicated in web of the Ministry
    • Curriculum vitae

    All documentation must be presented in Spanish/Catalan or English. Applications will not be accepted if the documentation is in any other language.

    1.7. Applications deadlines and documents:

    Applications must be submitted through this online form. (The form will be activated on the 1st day of the application submission period).

    Application forms must include all required documents.

    Any scholarship application without supporting documentation will be rejected.

    After the application has been submitted, the Scholarship Committee may request further documents or an online interview with eligible candidates.

    Application period: from March 18 to September 30, 2025. 

    Applications submitted from July 23 to August 31, 2025, will be processed starting on September 8, 2025.

    1.8. Resolution:

    The Scholarship Committee (made up of CETT members) will communicate, via email, the resolution of the scholarship no later than 15 days after the application has been submitted.

    Once the scholarship has been awarded, the applicant will have 15 days to pay the reservation fee for the course to which he/she has been admitted. If payment is not made within this period, the scholarship will be forfeited.

    Tuition and UB taxes must be paid before the start of the course. After deducting 2% as established by law, the total amount of the scholarship will be applied to the single payment or the set fees, depending on the student's payment method choice.

Scholarships for CETT students for postgraduate studies

  • Students scholarship for lifelong learning programs 

    Students Scholarship 2025/26

    1.1. Purpose:

    To help students in financial need who can show interest and commitment both academically and professionally so they can continue their training in the areas of tourism, hospitality and gastronomy

    1.2. Recipients:

    Students who in 2025/26 are in their second year of a vocational training program at the Professional Technical School, Undergraduate and lifelong learning programs at the School of Tourism and Hospitality CETT-UB.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Students must have passed all subjects of the current academic year up to the application deadline.
    • The student must have applied for the 2025/2026 academic year for the General Scholarship of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
    • To apply for a scholarship, the applicants’ household anual income cannot exceed the thresshold defined by the Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional (Ministry of Education and Vocational Training in Spanish)
    • Not having been a beneficiary of any other CETT scholarship or discount for the 2025/2026 academic year. Otherwise, the amount of the scholarship or discount that is more beneficial to the student will be applied.

    The Study Grant will only be compatible with the discount for cash payment.

    Meeting the requirements does not guarantee the award of the scholarship, as the budget is limited.

    1.4. Economic assistance:

    The scholarships can amount to:

    a) €1,255

    b) €2,475

    A retention of 2% will be applied to the amount of the scholarship according to the IRPF Law 40/1998*.

    The scholarship fee will be deducted from the pending monthly payments during the rest of the academic year.

    The amount of the grant will be deducted from the monthly payments due until the end of the course.

    1.5. Candidate Evaluation Criterias:

    To be eligible for a scholarship the following criteria will be considered:

    • The economic situation of the applicant’s household
    • In the case of students of University Degrees, number of ECTS credits enrolled
    • Academic transcripts
    • Work placement/internship assessment report
    • Interest and level of motivation for the training programs and the area
    • Holding a Ministerio de Educación y Formación Profesional scholarship the year before

    1.6. Documents to be presented:

    Applicants must fill in an online Scholarship application form. The following documents must be attached:

    • Resumé
    • Household annual income form from the previous year from all members in the household who are eligible to pay income tax. Members who are not eligible to pay income tax must provide with income tax exemption form.
    • In the case of self-employed workers, it will be necessary to attach the document accrediting the results of their activities (Personal Income Tax on economic activities for the last year, the last 4 quarterly VAT returns..).
    • Depending on the household circumstances, documents which can prove special financial status (disability statements, alimony, bereavement allowance, orphan’s allowance, tenancy agreement, etc…).
    • Academic Transcript for the 2023/2024 year to be provided by CETT’s Secretary.

    1.7. Deadlines:

    Application period: 3 to 20 June 2025.

    Applications must be submitted filling in this online form*.

    *(Active form from the first day of the application submission period).

    All required documents must be attached with application forms.

    Applications that do not include all required documents will be automatically denied.

    After applications have been submitted, the Scholarships Committee may request submission of further documents or an online interview with eligible candidates.

    1.8. Resolution:

    • Scholarships will be granted considering fulfillment of required criteria and to determine the final amount.
    • The Scholarships Committee made up by members of Barcelona Turisme, Barcelona City Council and CETT (Economic & Finantial Department, Career Services and Scholarships Services) will communicate each candidate the resolution via Campus Virtual on 5 July 2025.
    • Scholarships will be awarded upon enrolment for the 2025/26 year within the set deadlines.
    • Appeals to the Scholarships Committee will be done through CETT Campus Virtual (CETT Foundation) within 8 days after being notified. Appeals submitted after this deadline will NOT be considered.
  • Scholarship for CETT diploma holders and graduates

    Postgraduate scholarships (Masters, Postgraduates and Lifelong Learning courses CETT 2025/26) for graduates and diploma holders

    We are convinced of the importance of higher education training for the future of the industry; this is why, we make this call for scholarships for CETT graduates and diploma holders.

    1.1. Purpose:

    Help continue with studies within the areas of tourism, hospitality and gastronomy to CETT graduates and diploma holders who show motivation and capacity both academically and professionally.

    1.2. Recipients:

    CETT graduates and diploma holders.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Being given admission to a Masters’ Degree, Postgraduate course or Lifelong Learning course at EUHT CETT-UB for the 2025/2026 year.
    • To apply for these scholarships, candidates will have to join CETT Alumni Premium. Click here to know how to join.
    • Not having been a beneficiary of any other CETT scholarship or grant for the 2025/2026 academic year. Otherwise, the amount of the scholarship or the more beneficial discount to the student, with the exception of the discount for payment in installments or in 2 terms, which is compatible with the Talent Scholarship.

    1.6. Required documents:

    • Scholarship application form for postgraduate studies and Masters ‘degrees (for CETT graduates and diploma holders) dutifully filled.
    • CETT’s Secretary office will attach the candidates academic record after receiving the above-mentioned application form.

    1.7. Applications deadlines and documents:

    Applications must be submitted through this online form.

    (The application form will be available on the first day).

    Application forms must include all required documents.

    Applications that do not include all required documents will be automatically denied.

    After applications have been submitted, the Scholarships Committee may request submission of further documents or an online interview with eligible candidates.

    Application period:

    • 1st call: from March 18th to July 25th 2025.
    • 2nd call: from 1st to September 30th 2025.

    1.8. Resolution:

    The Scholarship Committee formed by members of the CETT team will communicate via e-mail to the applicants the scholarship resolution no later than 15 days after applying

    Applications submitted between July 23 and August 31 will be processed as of September 8.

    The scholarship will be awarded once the academic transcript for the academic year 24-25 has been closed (end of September). The amount of the grant will be applied to the single payment or to the instalments established according to the chosen payment method.

    Tuition and UB enrolment fees will have to be paid before starting the course.

  • Collaboration Scholarship for Intership and research

    Course 2025-2026

    1.1. Purpose:

    To facilitate access to tourism training to CETT students in any of the official degree programs (vocational, undergraduate, and master's degrees) by allowing them to collaborate in the different CETT Group departments or business units.

    1.2. Recipients:

    Students in CETT Vocational Training, Undergraduate Degrees or *Official Master's Degrees.

    1.3. Requirements:

    • Be enrolled in one of the official training programs at EHT or EUHT CETT-UB during the academic year for which the scholarship collaboration will take place and at the time the application is completed.
    • Not hold any academic degree equivalent to vocational training or undergraduate degrees.

    1.4. No. of Scholarships and Economic Assistance:

    Starting September 15 and throughout the year, the different application periods for COLLABORATION SCHOLARSHIPS linked to the different CETT Group departments and business units will be announced.

    At the time each of the scholarships is announced, the following information will be specified: Department offering the place, candidate requirements, conditions (length and schedule of collaboration), and the scholarship amount.
