Research at CETT

CETT aims to be the driving force for change in the sector to anticipate new challenges and social trends. Therefore, from CETT, we support the development of applied research projects that contribute to the competitiveness and sustainability of tourism, hospitality, and gastronomy.

In this sense, CETT's research focuses on three main areas of transformation:

Innovation

The UB Chair of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy CETT is a joint initiative of the CETT Barcelona School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy, the University of Barcelona, the CETT Foundation, and the Barcelona City Council that aims to promote research and knowledge transfer in their fields of action.

Connection

To form communication points between the academic world and applied science, we promoted the creation of two academic journals: the ARA Journal of Tourism Research, an academic and applied science media outlet, and the Tourism and Heritage Journal, which seeks to share knowledge on cultural and heritage tourism.
