To mark the centenary of Antoni Gaudí's death, Maite Audet takes us on a journey through the history, culture and traditions that inspired one of the most universal figures of our heritage.

Maite Audet

Maite Audet i Palau

Lecturer at CETT-University of Barcelona and Event Management Specialist

Born in Barcelona, Maite Audet i Palau graduated from CETT-University of Barcelona and holds a Master's Degree in Educational Technology and Digital Competences. She is also an Official Tourist Guide accredited by the Government of Catalonia.

She began her professional career as a tour escort travelling with groups across Europe before completing her internship at American Leisure Tours in New York. Following the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games, she joined a destination management company (DMC), where she built an extensive career in the organisation of international corporate events, eventually becoming Director of the Barcelona office and leading the development of strategic client relationships.

She currently lectures at CETT-University of Barcelona, teaching event management across undergraduate and master's programmes, where she shares the professional knowledge and expertise gained throughout her career.

Alongside her professional career, she has also worked as an actress and singer, performing at Barcelona's Tivoli Theatre and on Spain's Telecinco television network. Combined with her passion for Barcelona and Catalonia, this experience has led her to become a regular speaker on the city's history, Modernism and Catalan traditions.
