Master’s Final Project
The Master’s Final Project (MFP) represents the culmination of your learning throughout the master’s degree, demonstrating the competencies you have acquired and your ability to apply and develop them.
It is a project with a professional and/or academic focus. Depending on your professional interests and motivations, you will explore a specific aspect of your chosen specialisation in greater depth. You will undertake an individual project under the supervision of a member of the teaching staff, choosing from one of three formats:
- Applied research projects linked to CETT’s research groups.
- Professional application projects proposed by partner companies and/or institutions.
- Business plans for the development of business ideas.
Methodology and evaluation
CETT-UB has an experiential learning model, designed to facilitate the analysis and understanding of all aspects of business management, through your active participation in classes, challenges and projects.
It is based on five pillars:
- Challenge-based learning (ABR): you will face real challenges posed by teachers and organizations that are part of the CETT-UB partner network. Institutions such as La Roca Village, Rusticae or the Barcelona City Council have contributed to the CETT masters by posing challenges to be solved by the students.
- Project-Based Learning (PBL): you will tackle transversal projects that respond to a specific problem in the sector. In this way, you will develop skills in collaboration, problem solving and critical thinking, applied in a real work environment.
- Gamification: a fun and relaxed experiential learning method, with which you will learn to solve complex problems in a given time, generating an environment in which there is no fear of error, but the possibility of achieving goals and objectives.
- Design Thinking: a 100% user-oriented methodology to find solutions that provide answers in an area or sector. This methodology allows you to work on creativity, providing innovative and disruptive solutions in a short time, fostering your creativity and your ability to work as part of a team.
- Case studies: you will visit different companies and institutions in Barcelona to learn and apply concepts acquired from the exposure of real situations of the organization presented in situ by their teams.
The master's degree does not have final exams. The evaluation is based on continuous monitoring by the faculty and the course management, as well as the resolution of individual or group written tests and the development of work during the course.
