Farewell to the esteemed Dr. Gaspar Rosselló

With deep sadness and great appreciation, from CETT we would like to express our condolences for the death of Dr. Gaspar Rosselló, a key figure in the university development of our center and from whom we will keep a great legacy of knowledge, commitment and educational vision.
With a degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Barcelona (1973) and a PhD in Physical Sciences from the same university (1981, cum laude), Gaspar Rosselló developed an exemplary career in academia. He held relevant responsibilities as vice-rector of Academic Policy and Quality of the UB, director of the Agency of Policies and Quality of the UB, and program director of the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA), among others.
His links with CETT have been close and fundamental for the consolidation of the university character of the center. He directed the University School of Hotel Management and Tourism CETT-UB between 2001 and 2004, and continued to accompany the project as a delegate of the University of Barcelona at the University School and as an advisor to CETT.
Gaspar Rosselló also stood out for his leadership in the deployment of the European Higher Education Area. His great ability to generate complicities and maintain a fluid relationship with institutions and public administrations allowed him to advance in many areas with strategic vision and academic solidity.
We will remember Gaspar for his intellectual lucidity, his human generosity and his important contribution to the university world, in general, and to CETT, in particular. Today, we mourn with his family and all those who had the privilege of sharing his journey with him.
Rest in peace, our friend,
Partrons, counselors and the entire CETT team
