CETT has held a new session of its Business Advisory Board, a meeting space bringing together leading professionals from the tourism, hospitality and gastronomy sectors to share challenges, trends and opportunities linked to the future of talent, education and digital transformation.

The session, chaired by Maria Abellanet i Meya, president of CETT; Elisabet Ferrer Fernández, general director of CETT; and Javier De Diego, director of CETT Corporate and Career Services, focused on three main areas: the connection between academia and industry, the impact of artificial intelligence on organizations, and the new expectations of young talent

In the field of dual education, CETT shared the evolution of a model designed to strengthen the connection between students and companies through a progressive integration into the professional world. Since last year, the institution has incorporated University Dual Education into its Dual Training project for Tourism and Marketing degree programs, and continues to work alongside the industry to further expand this model.

During the discussion, participating companies highlighted the potential of education and training to foster talent retention and improve the alignment between professional profiles and business needs

The session also addressed the main challenges related to lifelong learning and skills development within organizations. Participants emphasized the importance of promoting practical, flexible training programs tailored to middle management and technical profiles, particularly in areas such as leadership, people management, digital skills and sustainability.

One of the central moments of the meeting was the reflection on the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of work and business competitiveness, led by Luis González Gújel, Artificial Intelligence Partner at Deloitte. The presentation explored the opportunities offered by AI in team management, process automation and productivity optimization, while also highlighting the strategic importance of integrating these technologies with data in order to generate competitive advantages, preserve internal knowledge and strengthen companies’ digital sovereignty.

In this context, special emphasis was also placed on the importance of leadership and the cultural transformation required to successfully integrate AI into organizations, beyond the simple adoption of technological tools.

The session also included the presentation of the study “The Voice of Young Talent”, developed with the participation of 140 CETT students. The study reveals that younger generations prioritize aspects such as professional growth, flexibility, recognition and personal purpose when choosing an organization. It also highlights the importance of human and consistent leadership, as well as the need to build work environments aligned with the expectations and values of emerging talent.

With this new meeting, CETT reaffirms its commitment to innovation, knowledge transfer and the creation of strategic partnerships with the sector in order to continue promoting an educational model connected to the challenges of both the present and the future.
