CETT Fundació awards the Best Final Degree and Higher Vocational Training Projects 2024–2025

The awards recognize the academic excellence of the different projects and promote the creation, generation, and transfer of knowledge within the sector.
The CETT Fundació grants these awards with the aim of encouraging students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, the Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences, and Higher Vocational Training Programs to develop their Final Degree and Final Project Work with rigor, quality, and depth. Through this recognition, the Foundation seeks to foster academic excellence and offer motivation that enhances students’ creativity and professionalism.
This year, the following projects were awarded:
Awards for the Best Final Degree Projects CETT-UB
Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism
- “Challenges in the regulations of the Catalan restaurant sector: analysis of regulatory (in)equity between large companies and small self-employed entrepreneurs”, by student Alexandra Rossi, supervised by Núria Guitart.
The jury highlighted her mature and rigorous scientific perspective, demonstrating a deep critical effort and an excellent example of qualitative research. The research question itself and its implications for the tourism sector were also highly valued.
- Honorable mention: “The role of the bundling strategy in the purchase of complementary services in hotels: the case of breakfast”, by student Ariadna Mostajo, supervised by Dr. Oriol Anguera.
The jury emphasized its strong applied and rigorous nature, serving as a model of quantitative research. They also praised the clear and structured experimental framework, with direct applicability to the hotel sector.
Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary and Gastronomic Sciences
- “Use of by-products from Sepia officinalis applied to gastronomic preparations”, by student Oriol Rosique, supervised by Felipe Celis and Mikel Díez.
The jury praised the project’s innovation and social commitment, highlighting its empirical and applied research in the fight against food waste. Its groundbreaking contribution and potential applications were particularly noted.
Awards for the Best Final Projects – Higher Vocational Training Programs

“ARRELS EVENTS S.L.U”, by student Taidy Manue Renaud Pardo, from Higher Technician Diploma in Travel Agencies and Event Management, supervised by Marta Oliva Font.
The jury commended the originality, research, and detail of the project, as well as the quality of the presentation, communication skills, and supporting materials. Special recognition was given to attention to detail, such as the use of a branded T-shirt and printed program. Finally, the jury decided to award the project for its solidity and demonstrated commitment.
