Fòrum Gastronòmic

Alimentaria
You will participate in stands and gastronomic areas at one of the sector's leading international trade fairs. You will discover new products and trends in food innovation and put your organisational and service skills into practice in a professional and international environment.
CETT Alimara Awards
You will participate in the organisation and support of the CETT Alimara Awards ceremony. This experience will give you an insight into how an institutional event is organised and introduce you to projects related to innovation, sustainability and digitalisation in the sector.
CETT Cooking Competition and CETT Service Competition
You will participate in CETT's internal competitions, where you can put your technical and service skills to the test and develop competencies such as autonomy, initiative, responsibility, communication and the ability to work under pressure.

Trobada Gastronòmica and culinary networking
Every year, we organise the Trobada Gastronòmica, an event featuring presentations, talks and demonstrations focused on a specific theme, with leading professionals from the world of cooking and gastronomy.
It is a meeting point between companies and our students. Supported by chef Carles Gaig as its ambassador, it features special and enriching content, with the participation of renowned gastronomy professionals such as Joan Roca, Fina Puigdevall, Nandu Jubany, the Torres brothers, Ferran Centelles and Javier de las Muelas, among others.

CETT obtains the identification of Integrated Vocational Training Centre (FPCAT Centre), granted by la Agencia Pública de Formación y Cualificación Profesionales de Cataluña.
CETT has been recognised in the 13th edition of the Innovation in VET Measures Plan for its outstanding project ‘Building Experiences: Projects with application challenges in real CETT companies in Catering and Cooking'.
Ton Zambrano, second-year student of the Higher Technician in Restaurant Service Management, has won first prize for best head waiter at the 4th edition of the Josep Lladonosa Gastronomic Awards.
Núria Benages, Núria Esvertit and Rut Faura, students in the 2nd year of the Technician in Culinary Arts, Gastronomy, and Restaurant Services, took part in the 23rd edition of the Bartolomeo Scappi international gastronomic competition from 22 to 24 April.

- Know how to create and run a restaurant service in harmony with economic and quality objectives.
- Establish a range of products/services and the corresponding technical specifications, setting prices and standardising processes.
- Acquire advanced knowledge of the different types of restaurant service: breakfast, classic service, buffet service, fine dining, etc.

Qualification you will obtain at the end of the course
Higher Technician in Restaurant Service Management, Official qualification of the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

International internships: you can also undertake a professional internship with a company anywhere in Europe once you have completed your studies.
Internships and jobs
During your studies you will do a period of 515 hours of work experience in the sector.
Thanks to the Career Services department team, you will be able to choose from among the more than 900 companies with which CETT has collaboration agreements.
- You will be able to do your internship in CETT's partner companies, in haute cuisine restaurants, in restaurant chains, in hotels or in catering companies, depending on your preferences.
- It aims to complement and consolidate your knowledge, skills and technical competences in real companies in the sector and in different types of companies.
- With company placements, you will start your professional career in a working environment.
- Remember that you will also do your practical training in the centre's technical classrooms and practical training in the Forum Restaurant Classroom and in CETT's own companies.
