CETT, Barcelona School of Tourism, Hospitality, and Gastronomy, maintains its agreement with the Tourism Online Academy to offer courses on the educational platform created by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

Online Training with UNWTO

The Center continues its collaboration by introducing nine courses aimed at both professionals looking to update their knowledge and individuals interested in specializing in tourism and hospitality management. These courses complement the existing two, each lasting 40 hours, covering Revenue Management (origin and evolution to the latest trends) and Basic Cooking Techniques (in Spanish or Arabic).

The new CETT courses are now available on the UNWTO's Tourism Online Academy with the following titles:

  • Food Safety and Hygiene (10 hours, in Arabic).
  • Terminology, Utensils, and Kitchen Machinery (10 hours, in Arabic).
  • Basic Kitchen Stocks and Sautéing (10 hours, in Arabic).
  • Types and Methods of Cooking (10 hours, in Arabic).
  • Sales Strategies for Hotels and Tourist Accommodations (5 hours, in Arabic).
  • Fundamentals of Revenue Management (20 hours, in Arabic).
  • Management of Distribution Channels and Online Hotel Reputation (10 hours, in Arabic).
  • Sustainable Tourism (3 hours, in Arabic).
  • Bena Strategies (2 hours, in Arabic).

The courses are 100% online, with a shorter duration than the previous ones and subtitles available in Arabic.

UNWTO's Tourism Online Academy offers training programs created by the best universities in tourism and hospitality to promote accessible knowledge, teaching, and training. These two courses continue the collaboration between CETT and UNWTO.

CETT is an affiliated member of UNWTO, the specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for promoting responsible, sustainable, and accessible tourism. Dr. Maria Abellanet i Meya, president of the CETT group, is part of the board of affiliated members of UNWTO.
